About Cecily

Simplicity is at the heart of everything I do. Having started as a content associate, I bring a content-focused approach to design work. What's the point of the product? How can we make the user's experience with the product even easier? Sketches are quick and dirty. Wireframes are a window into how the digital experience will be architected. Taking the time to make them realistic can make all the difference when working with clients. (A little prototyping also never hurt anybody either).

I am capable of taking ideas from the whiteboard to development-ready visuals while keeping the user's experience and the client's brand in mind. I enjoy seeing features all the way through the design process and have expanded my experience to include WCAG accessibility considerations. You could also say that curating the perfect design library and maintaining a smart design system are two very important work hobbies of mine. Every single day is a new challenge, and I always look forward to opportunities to learn more from, and with, my inspiring colleagues.

Currently you’ll find me at TravelBank as a Senior Product Designer. Previously I designed remotely for GoTab’s marketing and product design teams, and before that with the talented folks at Limina in Longmont, CO on work spanning a variety of industries, including government and non-profits. Many partnerships spanned years, most notably with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), and ABC Legal. At Shift7 Digital (formerly Siteworx), I had the opportunity to pivot from content to design specialist working on challenging projects for great clients, including Goldman Sachs, AARP, Marriott, and Hyatt.

When I'm not designing and drinking coffee, you'll most likely find me cycling, eating peanut butter straight from the jar, or re-reading Tolkien’s classics.
